(pic & rambla')

When I am on MSN...
...and I see that someone is set to "busy" (the red, actual "no entry" symbol).
I believe that is the best time to talk to them (obviously).
I know that they are there.
I want to talk to them.
I know that they are busy.
But I do actually need to talk to them.
Just briefly.
I know they're busy.
Am I wrong?
Yeah?
Well then why didn't they fuckin' sign out?
BOO-YAH!

(I didn't have anyone in mind, I was just using a made-up example.)

FIN
People!
I replace my previous post's parting "yips" (as in yippee) with a "yikes" (as in yikes) because I am now the one painting my place... I have not painted before. Not walls.
SO this leads me to postponing the posting I know is being ached for. I also don't want to compete with the Saddam Hussein execution news coverage that I'm sure you all are watching.

Anyway, here are my "Now" and "Then" with my colouring... er... painting.

Now (in progress):

Then:
Later dudes.

Alright (Not Quite)

People...
How so dearly I wish you all such a Merry Christmas.
Oh...
I seemed to missed that it's actually December 29. Christmas wishing may be out of order now, but since I having lived in the shadows since my last post, I'll give you the wishing now (please see line #2).
But of course I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I myself... a splendid time have'ed, although the details I will not get into now.
I really dislike how long all my posts seem to be, so I figure that I'll break it up into chunks. Hopefully all those chunks will arrive this evening as one Healthy Spill, as this has now become a (gulp) priority. I think about this Spill and updating it FAR more than I actually have done (I'm not spilling anything then).
So?
So does that make me the worst person EVER? A thinker & not a do'er. Perhaps.
SO, I will lay a much-deserved "postdown" (the blogga's smackdown) for y'all this evening.
Even I am bracing myself, because after all, it has been (big gulp) 17 days since my last post.
(...cold shudder)
...I even know that that is way TOO long. That's like waiting for the Red Alarm to update, and I know I am better than to wait THAT long (o-snap!).
Righto, so the goods, the bads, & the few lists o'mine will show up tonight... and from there... I'll just have to update MUCH more frequently!
Oh, and did I mention, my place is getting painted today. Yips!
Pieced out with chunks to follow.

If I have to take it off, I will take it off!

Good day everybody...

Weather nice?

Yups.

I know.

Well that's just how it is this time of year.

I know.

Ya.

mmm...

Not really.

Today I clearly have off, as I'm willing to have conversations like the one prior opening my posting. Posting,"my posting" - there has got to be a better way to say that. It sounds gross and dull. NOW DON'T SAY WE EVER TALK! Sorry. So yes, today I have off from work because I am seeing one of my favourite bands, the Lemonheads, this evening at the excellent (and close by) and famed venue, Lee's Palace (the 'Stones have played there - it's standing & fits maybe 500).

I have only been there twice before - both times for gigs (the Walkmen & the Fiery Furnaces), despite there being quite a boppin' indie rock dance club upstairs called "the Dance Cave", like in the 2nd Matrix (at least I didn't see the 3rd!) that happens a couple nights a week I think. Anyway I've been told I should check it out. I don't think I ever will.

So everyone had a good weekend? I gather a large "yes" from my friends in the west as their posted pictures proved fine evidence showing of good times (where was I...? single tear).

I sure wish I was coming home for Christmas. I want to see all my friends, be with family... get away from the city... kinda just to stretch out the arms, y'know? I know you do. Let's hug.

Wait.

I found out yesterday that I'm going to (drum machine drum roll) San Francisco for Christmas! Great! Great! Super! I'm looking forward to it! I'm... much closer to home (Vic), but not at all there. Same timezone I guess is it really... can I at least get a tan? Boo urns if a nay, asi asi if I can! You know how it is. Regardless of not being at home, spending Christmas in a great city, and it still potentially not being nice enough to get a tan, I do know that it'll be a fantastic time as the large majority of Dad's side of the fam will be there. And all those people kick ass.

But the airport... ugh...

FACT: Did you know that holiday season airport travel from Canada to the US is 37.5 times WORSE than last minute Christmas shopping in Victoria BC? FACT!

At least it'll be a light travel... not a lot of bags, right? But will it? I'm only going for 4 days but gifts to bring? And I also hope to hell that I don't get any f'in trouble over my passport or id or shiz. You know' ('snap 'snap 'low snap).

You see, my passport has expired.

I not afraid to let that out. For people to know.

I need to renew it. Badly.

The bare bones of it is that I fly home the 27th and just a mere 5 days later (just 120hrs), the new North American air travel policy will come into full effect. Now I'm legally able to get back home, I get through, but this... this was a close one.

"No trouble here Mr. Offica' - I just wanna go see my family & come back with a day or 2 in between... lets all have a Happy Holiday season"

Now how can any person give me any guff for any reason when they see all my id, my nice clean shaven face, my eyes, and of course a few seconds of great interaction?

I anticipate no problems & of course will let you know if the interaction was not a great one.

So that be it for now.

A few things to make some smiles or brows raise:

An amazing spiel from an 8yr old - worth watching!:

A fugly rough throw back to the studio from grape stomp (you WILL go to Hell if you laugh - especially the slo-mo replay - I'm already going):

A clip of the Lemonheads playing a song live:

Gay Robot Pilot episode 1:

The geek in me:

Exciting news! Potential water found on Mars surface:

Video of the Sun's surface!:

And that's it for now...

Have a nice night ~ we'll talk soon.

Get the towels, 'cause there's a spill here...

Well what can I say? It feels great to be back! Back in my blag chair. So let's dust off the keyboard and get to some bizznass...

So last week... Of course it involved foolishness at work. Foolishness in the key of bullshit. And of course I would love to go way into the dirty details with y'all, but I know better. I have heard rumours of some people not knowing better and then losing their job because of it. The blogging work bitch. So what happened to me was... let's just say A) do not leave work an hour early EVER. Even if no one needs you there, you're alone, & you still go into work on Sunday, believe me, you are still needed! And B) never try to reason with a woman bigger than you... your reasoning will be like a... it just won't go well. Or anywhere but down. Reasoning with a female is hard enough as it is.

So work was crap last week & I almost quit because of it. It sure is a good thing that I didn't though 'cause (of course with excellent timing) I got a raise! Never a bad thing, always a good thing: the raise - not huge, but just big enough to notice (insert Marshall joke here).

But just because of my raise, it wasn't all chipper on the JK TO front. Monday to Thursday were rotten work days, and then Friday was the rotten home day, as I still went to work, my place flooded... I thought I was in BC. It was terrible, horrible, and I hate mopping up. Thank Jesus it wasn't sewage. I don't even like drinking water let alone walking around in it in my place! Can you understand what I was going through? It went like this: In the shower? Wet. Not in the shower? Wet. Mop. Mop. Mop.
The water was cold, my frustration was boiling.
Whatever though, I know it could have been much MUCH worse, as nothing got ruined in the slightest, despite my entire floor being "watered".

So let's keep moving along.

I went and saw Tenacious D on the Monday of the bad week. The self-proclaimed "Greatest Band on Earth" charged $60, fed plenty off their first album and was far too scripted for my D viewing pleasure. Seeing JB & KG in action was cool and all, and I'm glad I did, BUT... the "Greatest Band on Earth"? They are not. I'm still looking for that band & I know that they're not Coldplay, Snow Patrol or Keane. If you tell me it's any of those bands, I'll call you a liar to your face, spit in your eye, take your shoes and soak your socks, and follow it by a "mama joke" directed at your mama. The fact of the matter is, the D show would have been an excellent $30, and would have made sense as a $40 show, but $60??? Really? My favourite part was when their friend "Lee" announced to the D that their movie didn't even crack the top 10 at the weekend box office (it opened in 11th - pretty rough). JB seemed to have a tough time with that. Oh and KG taking a bong hit from the stage... that was amusing. Also their cover of Good Times Bad Times by Led Zep was a treat... All in all I would not recommend.
I will be seeing one of my fav bands, the Lemonheads, this coming Tuesday, and with tix only being $20, I hope I can count on $$$ well spent.

Low/lowest: I hate Flavor Flav & I hate his "reality" show...

I noticed something on the bus the other day... and I've noticed it for a while, but now I'm just flat-out curious...
Mormons. Mormans pickin' up babes. WTF?
I never noticed them in beautiful BC, especially so aggresive, but here... ugh... SO aggressive. They will talk to anyone! Desperate Mormons. Blaaah... I'd like to see them talk to a deaf person. (Melissa Case anyone?)
So I wonder, would they be amazing or NOT amazing at picking up girls at the bar... or anywhere besides the bus? I wonder this because it seems that they start conversations easily enough & never leave. They are always well-groomed, polite, smiling, confident, of course overly friendly, and always sealing the deal with the Morman smile & slippin' their listener a card. I think it's code too... "more man" anyone? "Let me see the ladies on the bus..." I couldn't help watching this & think of the gelled up a-typical dumb guys at the clubs (not me, I've only been twice in 2yrs). Maybe the Moremans could help those guys out... or not. But if the Moremans loosened their collars a bit, they maybe could be quite a threat to those machismo guys on the clubbing scene.
Mind you, I'm not encouraging anything, I'm just a witness.
Oh girls...

On a good girl note, non-blogger & high school high friend, MI swung into town with her fam' for a visit with her TO bro... and yours truly... It was a splendid time as you will see when I be receiving pictures.
You can't wait, but you're going to have to.

So Weekend Plans (so far):
- Resume workage
- Christmas shopping
- Second City show
- blag update

So that's it for now... this may have been a ho-hum update, but it's an update regardless... so deal & comment.

Back soon...
